Creative Writing 101.
Today, I wanna talk about CreativeWriting.
Creative writing is any form of writing which is written with the creativity of mind: fiction writing, poetry writing, creative nonfiction writing and more. The purpose is to express something, whether it be feelings, thoughts, or emotions.
Rather than only giving information or inciting the reader to make an action beneficial to the writer, creative writing is written to entertain or educate someone, to spread awareness about something or someone, or to express one’s thoughts. And it can be really helpful when there's a lot going on in your mind at the moment.
This exercise offers benefits that are often overlooked and undervalued, especially in a world that’s shifting toward regimented standardized tests and data-driven work.
Here are seven proven benefits of completing creative writing exercises on a regular basis:
Building Confidence
Artistic Self-Expression
Imagination Boost
Thought Clarification
Better Understanding of the Mechanics of Reading and Writing
Empathy and Communication Skills
Better Mental, Emotional, and Physical Health
