The Value of Friendships.
Hi, there!
Today, I wanna talk about something I’ve been thinking of a lot during these past few days.
David and I have spent more than a week in Mexico, with some of the people I love the most in my life. Us, Venezuelans, have had to face the terrible reality of being all spread out throughout the world because of the situation of our home country.
You’d think one would get used to it; to being far from your loved ones, but the truth is, you never do. It’s been incredible to realize how much we all needed each other. Specially since it seems like it’s been a pretty tough year for us all.
The good news is that it also seems to have taught us many things that have aided our personal, professional and spiritual evolution. But my point here is... if you are lucky enough to live close to the people you love, and even if you don’t, just don’t waste your time.
Try to see them as much as possible. Try to talk to them as much as possible. And be there. Be there for the good times, and the hard ones, because the more that you do, the easier, more bearable and joyful your life will get.
Our best friends are our chosen families, and they’re here to make our journeys much better.
