Let’s talk about freedom.
Freedom has been a huge topic for me, and it wasn't until recently that I discover how big of a deal it actually is in my subconscious.
As you know, I'm from Caracas, Venezuela. And in case you didn't know, my people has been fighting for their freedom for a very long time. I'm one of the lucky ones who left before things got really messy, but somehow that's made me carry some heavy guilt around wherever I go.
The other day, while meditating, I realized that since I left, at some point, I've started feeling trapped in some sort of place or situation in my life. I've kept looking for my freedom, without knowing I already had it, I was just not seeing it.
This is pretty common in people who've left their countries because you always feel like you're leaving a piece of you behind. It's crazy how people inside think that those who left have it easier, and viceversa. But the truth is we're all doing the best we can, wherever we are and that's pretty noble and brave.
Today, I invite you to take a look inside and analyze your chronic patterns. What are those things you keep bringing with you everywhere you go? Is it that feeling of feeling trapped, like me? Is it something else? It's important to recognize this so that we can be set free and live to our fullest potential. I am sure that, soon enough, I'll be enjoying the benefits of my new sense of freedom, and I hope that you do too!
