Hi! Today, I wanna talk about mindful eating because, yes... there is such a thing.

Eating "mindfully" is actually easier than it sounds. It means listening to your body and stopping when you're full. (This one might be tricky for us Hispanics since our moms always said things such as... "no te paras hasta que te acabes la comida", for example.)

Also eating when our bodies tell us to eat (when our stomachs growls, when our energy's low). Eating with others during set times and at set places.

Eating foods that are nutritionally healthy.

Only focusing on the act of eating instead of doing other things at the same time.

And taking into consideration where our food is coming from.

These simple practices can help us have a more mindful relationship with food, improving our overall health and helping us take a well-deserved, meaningful break at least three times a day.

Mindfully,
Sam.
